This project was driven by the need to replace a fragmented spreadsheet-based inventory system with a centralized, scalable asset management solution. After evaluating available platforms, I selected and deployed Snipe-IT on a Linux virtual machine, configured the server environment, migrated and standardized asset data, established backup procedures, and developed documentation to support long-term maintenance. I also customized the system to improve inventory organization, streamline asset tracking, and integrate with existing IT service management workflows. The completed solution provides a reliable source of truth for organizational assets, simplifies audits and reporting, and significantly improves the efficiency of day-to-day IT operations.
